Settings and saving

Save valid changes and resolve settings errors.

Open Settings with ⌘, or search for Settings in the command palette. The sidebar has Tags, Presets, Templates, and General. Resize the window or scroll the editor to reach every option; the save status remains visible in the footer.

Valid changes save automatically after you finish typing. The footer shows the save status. Invalid shortcuts stay in the editor with an explanation beside the affected field; correct them before closing. If a save fails, your edits remain available with Retry. Closing Settings or quitting waits for pending saves, and asks how to handle invalid or unsaved edits. Appearance and update preferences apply immediately. Standard text editing works throughout Settings: Command-A selects the field’s text, Command-C/V copies and pastes, Command-Z undoes typing, and Tab advances focus.
