Photos and job information

Walkthrough reads the local folders you open. It stores photo references, original and exported filename mappings, addresses, groups, tags, templates, preferences, and job history in its private local library. It does not upload your photographs or job library to a Walkthrough server. Export writes only the photographs you choose to deliver.

Address search

When you type in address search, the app sends the search text to Apple’s MapKit service to retrieve suggestions and address details. You can enter structured address fields manually instead. Apple processes these requests under its own privacy terms.

Software updates

Checking for updates uses Sparkle to request an update feed from brianrenshaw.app, hosted by GitHub Pages. Downloads are hosted on GitHub Releases. These hosting providers receive normal connection information such as your IP address and request metadata. Walkthrough disables Sparkle system-profile reporting. Automatic checks are optional. Your photographs, listing addresses, and job records are not included in update requests.

No advertising or analytics

The app includes no advertising or analytics SDKs and requires no account. There is no cloud synchronization in this version.

Your control

Settings can be explicitly exported or imported as a .listingnamersettings file. That file may include your saved addresses and business profile, so share it deliberately. To locate the private library, use Settings → General → Show Library in Finder. Contact support for help removing local app data without affecting your original photo folders.
